Here is startling unauthorized photos of the NEW Copeland Sub Contrabass low whistles in tunable(left)and non-tunable(right),taken by a secret Crystal Person agent. How Copeland INC will market this product is still a mystery!
Neat! You know, I believe Michael
Copeland did apprentice as a maker
of organ pipes. Also he made jewelry.
The work of both occupations is
evident in Copeland whistles.
Dang!! You’d need one VERY windy person to blow, plus 6 friends ( one to cover each fingerhole with a garbage can lid) to play tunes on these babies.
I went to a whistle performance in Saratoga a coupla years ago featuring several local players and one ( whose name escapes me at the moment) had an old organ pipe with him, with painted fingerholes and the sound producing end painted to resemble a whistle fipple. He used this as a prop in a long story about a giant… very funny.
