I certainly don’t want to take any thing away from Tony Higgin’s Clips & Snips website. Such a great resource, and I’ve posted there myself. I have a lot of music that I would like to get online and don’t feel comfortable asking Tony to post multiple times. So, I created my own site. Nothing fancy, but functional. I would gladly post your clips, just email me with an MP3 file attached and I’ll see that it get’s posted. I’ll not judge anybody’s musicianship, anybody can post. But I do reserve the right to NOT post any RAP or other music that makes me want to beat my head against the wall. Hope you all will participate. Viejomc, Put your mind at ease as concerns me. (And, I appreciate your consideration for me.) I’m all for people posting their stuff on their own sites. I’m just doing it as a whistle community favor. I’ll post a link to your site, with your permission.
I downsize most files that come to me and post them as mono. Mainly, to keep file sizes reasonable, but also, if someone wants to rip off your music for their own commercial purposes, they don’t get the best sampling. (Though, sound quality is usually limited by the sumitter, not my sampling.)
Also, consider signing up for the WebRing thing for more exposure. Good luck and have fun.
