This is a not-so-shameless, self-promotional topic. Dr. Brenda Neece, curator of the Duke University Musical Instrument Collections, suggested that I improve the audio files page at my website by including audio players right on the page so that anyone interested in listening to the audio clips could do so without having to download the whole file. She suggested that I use one of the gadgets supplied by googlepages, where I host my free website. Of course, I had never thought of this, which is why two heads are always better than one. Anyway, I have the webpage updated with the simple players. You can fast forward or return the players by clicking on the timing bar. I am curious as to whether these players are working for most people? Also, I am open to other suggestions (public or private) or audio submissions.
