What are your personnal thoughts about the CD? Is it a CD worth owning if you want to learn tunes from it? What about the style?
Haven’t got it yet myself so others will have to give their thoughts, but Grey’s an excellent flute player with a distinctively smooth, flowing style. He can play fast and throw in fancy stuff like tongued triplets, but in general he seems to favor a laid-back and lyrical approach to the music. He has also composed many good tunes (Thunderhead being the most well-known), and some of his new compositions appear on this CD. I’m looking forward to hearing it.
