Hiro, I admire your respect and consistant admiration of John Sindt.
(could I ask, without hijacking this thread). I ordered 4 - 5 of his whistles about 10 months ago… Maybe close to a year now, not sure. I’ve sent 2 or three emails over the last several months, none returned or replied too. The lady (his wife) was very friendly and courteous when I first placed the order, and accomodated a change or two. I knew the wait was 9 or 10 months. I moved 7 months ago, same city. I would like to get in solid contact now that the normal wait time is over. Could you suggest something. Thx!
Tryst me. I am, yours truly…
Parcour v. D’Chasse, Esq.
His wife’s name is Ann. They can be reached at the phone number on the high end whistle page of Chiff and Fipple. They live in New York so it’s EST. I got a hold of her between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Every time I’ve ordered a whistle I talked with her personally. She’s very nice and helpful. They’re very customer oriented even though the wait is long. Too bad your having this trouble but I’m sure if you call you will get it straightened out. Good luck.
Thanks Jon, duh, yes, I should have looked on the main site, but you’ve solved my problem, I’ll call, actually you were indirectly responsible for my placing the order, I remember when you got your set, I tried to buy, maybe it was the low A off of you and you declined, so I ordered my own set from J.S. Whew! That is a long wait, and since I’ve moved, I hate to think of them being shipped off to Neverland (worst case) without even a contact note for me. Still, I can’t comprehend why Ann wouldn’t send an “order status” reply to my email. I assume they’ve gone to personal contacts only, nah, that doesn’t make sense,
They’re so nice I can’t imagine it’s a negative response from Ann or John. What I think is that they get so many e-mails and requests that yours was somehow overlooked. It seems to have happened more than once to you too. You’re just better off calling. Just be persistent. I got Ann every time I called but that’s just luck. She’s got to go shopping and such. And of course John works a full time job so they’re only doing the whistle gig part time. By the way I ordered some more Sindts. Just couldn’t live without them.
Good Luck,
Jon
