Hello,
I picked up what I believe is a ukulele at an estate sale and I’m trying to identify it. It measures about 21" from end to end and 6 3/8" at it’s widest. It is stamped “C.F. Martin & Co. Nazareth, PA” both on the back of the peghead and inside the body. I believe it has bar frets, not “T” frets. Any idea if it is truly a CF Martin, and when it might have been made?
I’m going to attempt to insert a few pictures to help out.
That looks like a Martin model 1, circa 1925 to me. But for a quick, definitive answer, you might want to show those pics to the folks on uketalk.com. They are the Chiff and Fipple of the ukulele world.
