I’m a whistler and usually lurk and/or participate in that forun but, the brother of a dear friend of ours just died unexpectedly and our friend (Father Michael Kennedy) would dearly like to have a piper play Amazing Grace at his brothers graveside on Wednesday, 9/3. While final arrangements are still up in the air, the burial will be in Corcoran (just west of Minneapolis and I’s guessing that it will be midmorning). Anyone know of a piper in the area that would be interested?
We would be wiling to pay any reasonable fee.
If there is someone out there please send me an e-mail.
Tom Dahill is your man for such a service. He’s based out of St. Paul and has done such services in the past.

Here’s a picture of Tom Dahill playing in the cemetery at the funeral of our friend Bill Kennedy brother of Father Michael Kennedy our parish priest. Tom played both the wake service and at the cemetery the next morning and did a great job. We received many nice comments from friends and family about this being such a nice touch. Thanks Tom. And thanks to Nanohedron for putting me in touch with Tom.
Pete you might not be getting the whole URL copied. Mine are usually longer. Also after you post it are you highlighting it and clicking on “Img” button above? Hope this helps.
My snapfish URLs are usually longer and I have to drag down to get the whole thing since part of it is hidden.
It’s not as evident in this photo, but if you put him and a picture of Brendan Behan side by side, well, if you’re Catholic, you’d feel the urge to cross yourself.
