Need a Meg supplier...

I will be playing with our group, and also busking at the the Arizona Renaissance Festival.

It occurred to me today (Belatedly, but I’m dense that way), that a great way to get the heritage and music out there would be to hand out whistles to children at the faire. The faire runs for 8 weekends, so figure 10 per weekend, I’d need 80 whistles.

Now, I am not (by far) the richest person, so I need to find a cheap supplier for Megs, or work out a deal with someone that can supply them.

Any suggestions, proposals, jeers, cheers, etc. are welcome.

I love to do this! Only give out about 1 per weekend, tho…it almost always makes some kid all excited.

I suggest that you contact Anna Martinez and Thom at the Whistle Shop. Perhaps you could work out a discount price in exchange for donating any spares to Anna’s Whistles Around the World program.

Thanks! Someone emailed me to suggest Thom as well, so I sent him an email. Thanks for the help so far!!

I’d definitely give you a cheer. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thom at The Whistle Shop is a great guy, I hope you can work something out. Elderly Instruments sells Megs for $2.80 I think.
