There will be an Irish Music session on Saturday March 6th from 2:30 PM until 5PM at Dan McGuinness Pub on Demonbreun St. in Nashville TN. I’m free and the pipes are playing well! Come on out for what should be a nice afternoon of music.
Was that session a one off or is there regular sessions in the area. Theres a gang of musicians from Dublin playing at a festival in Dollywood in the month of april and they’re looking for a few tunes.

This particular session takes place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday afternoons of each month. We are, however, about 4 hours from Dollywood.
Come on down from St. Looey for a session if you get a chance. House party at my place tomorrow nite (Saturday). I will look forward to meeting you in April as I’ll travel to the tionol.

My sister Jacqui (fiddle player) will be there for 6 weeks, from the begining of April til the end of the second week of May, but most of the other musicians are doing 2 or 3 week shifts and then replacements are coming in for them. In the piping department I know John O’Brien and Mikie Smyth are covering the 6 weeks but I don’t know whos coming in first.
They’re all part of the Ragus show. Its not your usual flashy lights, epilepsy inducing, wardrobe falling down the stairs, crash wallop and backing track dance show. The tunes are nicely arranged reels and jigs with a few airs and songs thrown in.
I’ll get down for a tune with the lads myself at least once while they’re there.
Theres the makings of a good laugh too.

I’ll look forward to meeting yourself and all the other pipers who are landing in St. Louis. It’ll be the first time I’ll get to meet some of the pipers of Amercia so that should be fun!
