Oh…you were serious. Oops! Yes, I’m talking about the movie. This nerdy girl takes a liking to him, and I guess she’s supposed to be ugly, but I kind of dig her.
I’ve noticed that if a male character is supposed to be ugly, they have no problem getting the butt-ugliest, gnarliest mugg they can find, but with female characters who are supposed to be ugly, they always seem to get women who are only slightly less attractive than the good looking characters. For example, this “ugly” girl in the movie has nice skin, decent hair, a good body (not smokin’, but good). Not that I’m complaining mind you…I’m just saying…
I wonder if women see this and actually think that’s what people consider ugly. But again…maybe it’s just me.
Yeah, women do notice this and it isn’t a real self-esteem building experience to see that the “ugly” girl in the movies is way better looking than you.
I had a friend in Junior High, from the Phillipines, whose middle name was Napolean. She mainly kept it a secret though, because she was afraid people would make fun of her.
It’s like Renée Zellweger in Cold Mountain. I think she was supposed to be a homely hick but I certainly didn’t think she was in any way homely. Better then Kidman if you ask me. (Which you didn’t).
BTW, she’ll be playing Janis Joplin in “A Piece of My Heart” later this year according to imdb.
