Name the reedmaker?

Anytime I come across a nice photo of pipes I always save it ,I sometimes do the same with reeds. Here are some photo’s of reeds that I have collected .Do you know who made them ?

Reed #8 looks like a Ben Koehler. He dates his reeds like that.

Yes,the reed with the date on it (#7 the number is above the reed )is made by Mr koehler,it was in a Dave Williams chanter..

I wonder did the maker mean to have the bridle so low ?

Yes; Benedict prefers a low bridle (i.e. not a sliding bridle, but one that abuts the top of the wrap).

Possibly #6 is an Alan Burton, or an early early O’Brien. ( I recognize #4 and #5 but can’t place them…)

1 might be Froment?
