Hello folks. Is anybody able to identify the tune at the link below? I believe it is a traditional Irish tune but I can’t be sure - it may be English, Scottish or American etc.
It’s in MIDI format and I found it on a site some years ago with the filename “FIELDS.MID”. I don’t know anything more about it.

Thank you.
I just got a message saying that the zip file is invalid or corrupted.
Cheers
Steve
Ouch, my ears. MIDI harpsichord! It doesn’t sound like a tune to me, but an accompaniment for one, and I would venture to say, not a traditional one at that.
PS Using the title as a clue, tried to make the melody to Eric Bogle’s song “Green Fields of France” (real title “No Man’s Land”) fit the accompaniment - and failed.

I’ve had a few listens to this and nothing springs to mind.
Like StevieJ I have tried to singalong to the clip using songs with Field/s in the title but to no avail.
The chord changes don’t strike me as being from a Irish type song at all.
Slan,
D.
Ditto what Dubhlinn says, doens’t sound the least Irish to me, even if I imagine it speeded up to dance tempo.
Sounds more like something backing a computer game, maybe Zelda or a Japanese RPG.
