Does anyone know what key whistle Joanie Madden uses to play Marcus Hernon’s Air on Whistle on the Wind?
It’s played on a low D… and it’s one of my favorite tunes.

Joanie does answer at that email address. She says “I do believe it was a low D whistle…”
I think it will take me about 40 years to get my Low D to do anything near what Joanie is doing. By then I’ll be over 80 and my fingers will be gnarly stumps.
Joanie also said “Good luck!” So,what the heck, I’ll chance it. 
I like the tune so much that I recorded my own version a few years ago… back in the days when I had more free time!
