I’d like to recommend that people try to hear the music of Paul Mounsey (OK, he’s my cousin so I’m not entirely an independent reviewer :slight_smile: but I wouldn’t recommend anything I wasn’t genuinely enthusiastic about). Four albums generally available:

Nahoo
Nahoo Too
Nahoo 3: Notes from the Republic
City of Walls

And he’s also involved with Runrig’s new Proterra CD (enough to have his name on the front).

His music is a fusion of all sorts of world influences but the central impetus derives from Scottish traditional music. Not for trad. purists, but I think he produces incredibly effective music and deserves to be more widely known. Apart from that he’s also a really great bloke.

I think Nahoo Too is the best one to start with.
