mystery whistle

picked this whistle up . . . anyone know the maker? is it an old alba?

the body may look like wood, but it is a type of plastic. the owner thought it started with a T. my guess is tufnol . . . hence the alba guess. the head is also plastic.

a little breathy in tone. not a bad whistle . . . in tune and notes pop. seemingly indestructible. not shrill. requires some push.

Mystery is solved. I emailed Stacey and here’s her response:

“Hi Randy yup I will put ma hand up its one o mine made from tufnol and swan rod, with a celtic knotwork silver ferrel.”

It’s great to have so many craftsmen dedicated to keeping us supplied with whistles.
