mystery "Celtic" wav

Friends and neighbors:

A radio listener has asked for my help identifying a short excerpt of synthesizer + tin whistle. It’s pretty undistinguished; I’ve listened and cannot ID. I’ve posted the clip to a website and would welcome anyone’s thoughts about a possible provenance. Many thanks.

All the best,

Could be Tim Janis.

it’s the first cut on Windham Hill’s Celtic Christmas cd, “When the Snow Melts” by Phil Cunningham and Manus Lunny.

Eeewww! EEEEEWWWWW!!! You should warn people before having them listen that crap!

Guess it wasn’t clear from my initial post. I did not play the clip–had I done so, I probably would have been able to identify, no? I’d certainly agree with all the tart responses I got about the clip’s quality.

In fact, a correspondent on another list actually came up with the ID, saying “it’s a recording of “When The Snow Melts” by Phil Cunningham and Mánus Lunny from the album “Celtic Christmas” circa 1995.”

The original query came to me via my show’s website, as a forward from another with the query originating in Brazil.

In the world of public radio, we exist only to serve

Thanks to all for useful info.
