My son made a flute from a wrapping paper tube

He’s been messing with my Dixon low D with flute head, and he decided to make his own. He’s 11. He cut a mouthpiece hole (I don’t know the term) then he made six holes, and covered the head-end with tape and paper.

It made a sound like a pop bottle being blown but the fingerings definitely changed the pitch. It was cool.

Sounds like you have a talented son there, John!

That’s a cool kid

That’s awesome… what a creative spirit!!

Sounds like a bright boy there, and perhaps a future Whistle/Flute/Pipe maker.

Definitely. Keep encouraging him, John.

Best,
Paul
