I don’t have much time these days… too much work and getting ready for vacation, too. (going to Bariloche BTW)
Anyway, I just wanted to say I’ve received a beautiful Water Weasel NT from Matt (alespa). I love this whistle, the tone is quite clean but just a tiny bit reedy, very pure but a tiny bit airy, the backpressure is on the high side (when compared to my Feadog or Dixon) and is quite loud, not as loud as a Susato, but since it has less armonic contents than other whistles (ie Feadog) it seems to be louder than it really is. The holes are bigger than my other whistles, and I really like that. I found them a lot easier to feel and cover than small holes. I’m very happy to have this whistle
Oh, I’ve made another low D, I wanted to play it on the mountains while on vacation (heavy winds) so I made it with a wall around the widow (wind screen) like the one in the Copeland’s. The tone came out strong and airy, maybe due to a new blade design I’m testing. I hope I’ll be able to hear it in the outdoors
I’ve bought a new mic, maybe I’ll posts some pics and a soundclip later if I have some free time.
And I’ve a high D with window walls on the works, too

If anyone is looking for a Water Weasel D NT, I’m pretty sure Matt has one that found it’s way back to him. Not mine. Mine’s a definite keeper!! The person who returned it figured she already had too many D’s.
I love mine too! I’ve been sharing my last week between it and my new (to me) Burke BSBT… They are both excellent!
I find the WW to be a wee bit eccentric, and that’s a good thing in my book… it is an individual… I like to think, just like its maker. Nice, nice whistle!
I’m glad everyone has enjoyed their WW NT’s. I know Glenn would like that even more! In case anyone tries to contact me this week, I’ll be out of town. I get a rare chance at “almost” a week up in the San Juan islands with my wife & sons this week, so if anyone emails me, I won’t be able to respond until August 1st. I hope that doesn’t cause a problem, BUT my priority now is on my family having a good time and NOT thinking about work of any kind

I got my new tunable WW from Tyghress at The Great North East Whistle Gathering. I sure do like it.
Quieter than I imagined it would be, noticeably quieter than my Burke Brass Session pre-black tip. But nice pure tone, purer than I’ve heard they shold be. Altogether nice smooth transition between octaves, a well behaved player. It will be a useful addition to my collection; I’ve already played it at a gig. It sure was nice being able to play it before buying it.
Have always wanted one to go with my Ab/A/Bb WW triple set Glenn made for me. This is a definite keeper !
