Wow, I know that some people around here have not liked the O’briain, but it fits me 
my plan today is to get acquainted. The only thing is remembering how to stretch to that 6th hole.
I really like the tone, I get out of it. Very unique, Compared to others I have played can’t desribe it yet though.

Enjoy and congrats on finding one. As I’ve said, it’s a bit of a bear to play, but has a lovely tone and a strong low end.
I edited this post, because every time someone mentions this whistle, I pull it out to play it, and I just played an air (Down By The Sally Gardens), which is never a problem, followed by an effortless slide, Worn Torn Petticoat, at a pretty good (for me) clip. With some concentration on tone hole coverage and breath control, a really nice sounding whistle. This is one the collector in me wouldn’t let go even if I didn’t play it much.
More talk like this and he might start making them again
