My new 'Busman' has arrived!!!!

Feeling somewhat ‘flush’,and overcome with WHOA,I ordered two whistles from Paul Busman late last year, one in Olivewood, another in Tulipwood.
The whistles duly arrived, according to schedule,BUT, to my great dismay, the Tulipwood whistle had been damaged in transit-exhibiting a crack almost from the top metal ferrule to the first finger hole.
I let Paul know about this unfortunate turn of events, and he assured me that he would sort things out, saying that I deserved “whistle satisfaction!”
We worked together with our respective Postal services on both sides of the Atlantic, and FINALLY,the U.S. postal service recompensed Paul.
He had already been working on a replacement whistle for me ,and he posted it last Tuesday.
Well,I’m extremely pleased to say that, much to my delight, it arrived today!
I have to say that I’m absolutely delighted with Paul’s craftsmanship-the Tulipwood is richly patterned and just glows with colour, marvelously set off with brass fittings!
It sounds as good as it looks, and I’m sure that the sound will improve as I accustome myself to the instrument, and it is ‘played in’.
I’m highly satisfied with this instrument, and I must thank Paul for his customer concern, craftsmanship and professionalism-he’s a real gentleman and a great whistlesmith.
Thanks Paul!

I agree. Paul’s a dandy.

Doc

Note that this frustrating postal insurance claim took over 6 months to resolve, between the US and UK postal services!
If anyone knows of better international shipping options, I’d love to know about it. I looked into UPS since I had orders going out to Norway, Sweden, etc, but those would have run upwards of $30 USD.

Congrats and hve fun with it.
