I got a low D for christmas and it’s so loud and well toned! I would recommend these whistles to anyone!

Welcome to the C&F community Finlay, fine playing and thanks for sharing the video, decent audio quality and no clipping (hurray) would you say you are long fingered ? as reach for the holes doesn’t appear to be a problem for you.
Thanks very much! I would say my fingers are probably average or just over average, but yea you’re right I don’t have a problem reaching the holes. Also, i’ve been playing the low D for pretty much the same length of time that i’ve been playing the high D whistle so I guess i’ve learnt everything on the low D, which I think helps 
I once tried an Alba low A when I purchased my high D, that was another story! I can’t see how anyone can play them! You’d need huge hands! 
Unless you know something to the contrary, MK Whistles are still made in Glasgow. Alba & Bracker whistles are made “just outside Inverness,” but not MK to my knowledge. Mind you, you are in Tain and I am in Wick so you should know better. But are you sure?
Not 100% sure about the MK whistles actually, I thought i’d heard some where they were made somewhere near loch ness?
Alba whistles are made in Edderton though, that’s a small village just a bit inland from Tain. Are Bracker whistles another make? Never heard of them, or are they another variation of the alba whistles?
Misha is from up north but he makes his whistles in Glasgow.

ah they look nice, quite similar to the alba whistles, in aesthetics anyway.
Is it me, or is that clip almost exclusively in the 1st octave. . . Are there any samples with ample time spent in both octaves ?
