I found a copy at my local music store. I doubt that you can just download it, due to copyright laws. JP
Actually you can download it - but not for free. There are certain - ahem - copyright issues that forbid you from free access to sheet music - but you can buy it for a ranging price of $1.95 to about $5.50 at:
I did a search for “will go on” and it came up right away. There are about 3 pages of different arrangements being instrument specific. Trombone (thought that was funny), flute, piano, choir etc… You have to be very selective to get the sheet music you want.

Why in the world would anyone want to play this tune?!?!?! There are so many beautiful airs in the tradition, and “My Heart Will Go On” is not one of them. Please, as an act of mercy towards us all, learn something else.

I believe you can get the intro for free (gif format I believe) at a cool site called Celtic Air. don’t know the URL at the moment, but I remember they had it and it was in their Sheet Music section. It’s a huge site though.

Chris, what is it about you and this song/air? You made some comments about it in another thread also. While it may not be to your taste, or mine for that matter, it is still an air that is played on a whistle and therefore some folk may want to learn how to play it. I don’t think the board is just about learning Irish Trad.
Or is there some other underlying reason that I’m not getting?

I have played this song and kind of feel the way you do, but there is one section of the song I just love to play, and that is the modulation near the end. My copy starts in E, but then it modulates to Ab with the first chord of the mod. as Fminor, and that change is very beautiful. JP

Ummm… let me try to explain myself. Well, of course, everyone should feel free to play absolutely anything they like.
The melody for “My Heart Will Go On” is actually a rather beautiful one, but it is so cliched and is a part of the unfortunate Titanic/Celine Dion incident.
I’m not quite sure whether I should try to explain why this is a bad thing.
I guess I just cringe when I think about the millions of people world-wide who think that this is Irish music, and don’t realize the wealth of beautiful music that make up the tradition. It is my opinion that one’s time would be much better spent learning some of the old airs, by ear, from a recording other than a hugely commercial, overproduced, sickeningly cheesy, soundtrack to an equally commercial, overproduced and cheesy movie like Titanic.
Now I know that I’m going to get flamed for this. A bunch of people will say, “How dare you tell me what I should play?!?! I can play whatever I want!” Of course you can, and I’m not going to stop you. I am, however, offering a bit of guidance that may, if you wish to follow it, lead you towards the vastly richer depths of the Irish tradition.
If that is what you seek, then I’m willing to help, if not then Titanic, Lord of the Dance, Celtic Moods, etc should be just fine for you. I just happen to think they’re rubbish and a false representation of a beautiful tradition.

I just have to weigh in with Chris on this one. 
It was a beautiful tune the first, oh, 856 times or so I heard it.
Actually, the problem for me (and I’m not afraid to admit that I have a problem–My name’s Tom, and I don’t like the tune from “Titanic…”) is that every stinkin’ time I play a slow air, someone pipes up with “Hey, that’s from Titanic, isn’t it?!”
Cringe, growl, contemplate acts of violence…

Okay okay - I’m no Céline Dion fan but boy, you guys sure know how to slam an incredible talent - I know, I know - you’ve just heard her waaaaaayy too much!! I agree. And that Titanic movie was sooo over-commercialized. It IS sappy and it does misrepresent Irish music, but - c’mon, some people do like it!
I had a French Canadian friend a long time ago and she absolutley loved Céline Dion. And if you really knew anything about her music, you’d undoubtedly agree that she has a spectacular voice. Over the last few years we’ve seen the sappy over-commercialized, read-about-her-in-the-tabloids garbage that we’ve come to expect when somebody becomes expoited to the 10th power. She’s become Canada’s Michael Jackson. My wife actually lived with some french-Canadians when she was skating, and they went batty over her music. Her older music still reminds her of those days - 20 years ago!!
There are nicer airs available to learn. If the Titanic thing is your bag (or whistle) - go for it! Just don’t play it in front of hard-core trad guys;-)
