my friend Jerry Freeman

I have a dear friend who has helped me through some of the worst parts of my life. Some of these things could have possibly killed me and I have been notoriously difficult to him at times, but he never gave up on me. He helped me in so many ways I honestly couldn’t count them.

For one, when I first came to college I became terribly sick with a serious chronic disease that I didn’t know I had. Without going too far into the medical issues (because that’s not what this post is about), he helped me get the right treatments and medicines and he helped me understand more about my disease. This is just one thing he has done for me, among many.

You probably know him. His name is Jerry Freeman. He always signs his posts “Best wishes, Jerry” and I believe he means it. It may only take ten seconds to type out that closing remark, but that time adds up when you have thousands of posts. He invests in C&F by his helpful posts, and he invests in the whistle world at large with all his many different tweaked whistles which are nothing short of lovely. He is a pure gem and I feel extremely blessed to know him.

Really, I feel that my friend Jerry Freeman is an absolutely irreplaceable C&Fer, one who is always there and is always helpful and positive–never destructive or damaging to other people.

I just thought I’d share a big public “THANK YOU,” because it needs to be said sometimes that some people really are angels in our lives, and amidst all the daily chaos of living they don’t get the recognition they truly do deserve.

Jerry, THANK YOU!!! For everything.

AND BEST WISHES!!!
