My Daughter in Concert!

Well, it was with a musical toy, but we liked it.

you have a virtuoso there Jessie!

Your little one will love that keyboard for a good long while.

I got it for my grandaughter last year for Christmas and she is still playing on it.
She particularly likes walking on the keys to make the sounds.
Whoever thought to make the seat removable had a good idea, since it makes the toy useful longer.

Very very cool. Isn’t parenthood just the greatest?

Those are great pictures Jessie. What camera do you use? She is very photogenic. The red hair is fantastic.

She is a darling little girl but she has some competition. On the 13th a new little girl joined our family, our great granddaughter Conner. I may be prejudiced but I think she is the cutest little girl in the world. I told her father that I would get her a whistle but he should immediately buy her a harp.

Ron

Oh, are you saying she is an angel.

I am not attacking Jessie’s baby here, I just want to give a message to all parents who have small babies.

I know they are the centre of your life and there is nothing more precious to you but please, please please, please don’t photographs of your kids to your friends when we visit your house. And please, please please please, I repeat please, don’t show us videos!!

It drives us bloody crazy!

Other people’s babies all look like Winston Churchill.

If I have to sit through another three hour video of a sleeping baby (oh look he moved his eyebrow!) I’m afraid I shall have to call the authorities.

I think Jessie’s baby is cute. So THERE.

hmph

Nobody told you you had to look at these pictures.

We love the pictures Jessie keep them coming. I received about 8 vid clips of Connor the first day. Loved every second of them.

Ron

Hi Jessie,
You have a lot of friends on the Forum that would love to see more pictures of that beautiful girl of yours. Thanks for sharing your precious pictures with us.
Mike

I did, and she is as cute as a basket full of puppies.

I was referring about when I visit friend’s houses and I’m a baby-talk captive. :sniffle:

I remember a funny thing about having friends before and after they had a baby. We used to see them all the time during her pregnancy and she was still normal. The second the baby was born, she was not able to utter one sentence without the words “poopy” and “diaper.” She actually thought we wanted to hear about the details of her baby’s diaper contents! I vowed at that time never to be like that, to remain a person AND a parent when the time came. Well, I am fairly decent at not mentioning diaper contents to anyone but my immediate family, but I am not able to go through an hour without mentioning the baby at all. Oh well.

That is perfectly normal, Jessie. Does not bother me at all. Kinda like some of us and our whistles. Speaking of whistles, did I tell you about my newest… :stuck_out_tongue:

But it’s so ha-a-rd not to! [/whine]

Those videos can be cruel to someone who has just suffered a loss or is trying to conceive. I lost a brother to SIDS and I know things like that would send my mom to the edge for a long time afterwards.

I’m very bad about going on and on about the latest adorable thing my cutie has done, but I try to remind myself that you never know what heartbreak someone is going through and to rein it in. It’s hard because you are so in love with the little critters and can’t understand that the rest of the world isn’t.

Thanks for the reminder! I’ll keep the video of the first Thanksgiving, Christmas and Halloweens for myself and the husband

One bit of hope, though… in my experience with my own and with friends, those videos aren’t made after 18 months. That’s when the fun/busy-ness really starts and there’s no time/patience/extra hands to work the camera!

I love your new avatar, Jessie

Thanks, Heather!

I am using an old Olympus digital camera.

I forgot to say: Ron, you have a great granddaughter?!? Wow!

My camera is an Olympus Camedia C-2020 Z, a digital camera that is about 5 years old. It still suits me perfectly well.
