Thanks again, to all of you that offered to help me out.
After a very long and frustrating waiting my chanter has now made it back home.
Seventeen weeks if an awful long time to wait, so them reeds better be magical.
But most of all Iām very happy that I got my chanter back in one piece. There were times when I was sure I had lost it.
Sorry, but I donāt understand why you continue to bounce this up. Is there a point? Did you have a question? Or do you just like to see your name in lights?
Gee djm, I guess it isnāt just Lorenzo that gets unmasked on this board.
I confess, youāre right, I donāt have a life, I donāt even play the pipes nor any other instrument. I survive plainly on attending various support group meetings and to participate on hundreds of web forums where the only purpose is to bounce my username up in the lime light. ā¦..
Strange that if you got annoyed by the reappearance of my post in the first place, why bounce it up another time, and why reply with three questions if you if you donāt want an answer? The last post only contained the word āendā most people, English speaking or not, know the meaning of that.
If you bothered to check the dates you would have noticed that the first post is also the last as I edited out the initial post, the bounce is about four month old. I initially made this post when I run into some trouble after I shipped off my chanter to be reeded. Things looked bad for awhile but turned out ok in the end. In the initial post I also asked to contact me off the board and I tried to be as vague as I could regarding whom I was dealing with. Quite a few still guessed who the maker was and offered to help or wanted to know how things ended up.
I just wanted to say thanks to all the people who replied and letting them know that I now have my chanter back.
MarcusR, not annoyed or upset, just confused. With the original note gone, I wasnāt sure what the purpose of the bump was. No, I donāt read all the little dates and edit times. Even Iām not that anal.
Now that you have explained yourself I understand the post, but would suggest you just leave the original note and add to the end. Thatās why its called a āthreadā. Having all the original notes in sequence makes the thread understandable for us less than perfect mortals.
Actually,
itās about a frustrating experience that ended on a good note (no pun intended) Marcus amended his original post so things lost contiunty. Thanks for the PM, you did the right thing. It clears things up nicely.
