My campaign is to dissuade all Uilleann pipers ( and please note only Uilleann pipers ) from wearing kilts or skirts that show unfettered knees and god forbid more then the imagination need be aware off! Even if you are Scots by birth or decent… It’s not big and it’s not clever and furthermore it’s very distracting ! So unless you are a certain Liam (Uilliiam) the please make a pledge that if you are going to kilt up then please donate to Liam’s charity as penance for such a heinous transgression ! Thank you and goodnight

AFAIK none of my Scots ancestors wore one (or could afford to, unless the army gave them one): but its where the money is today, and if I can snag a few extra spondulix 
for throwing in a set of uilleann whilst on a highland gig (or a set of highland whilst on an uilleann gig) then, sadly,… i’m there.
