Musical score for The May Morning Dew

Hello everybody, I am relatively new to the whistle, and have been lurking on C&F for a few weeks. Great site!

I have a bad case of WhOA, and have recently purchased a whistle for everyone in our family. We originally bought a Walton brass D at a Feis where my daughter (age 12) was Irish dancing, and we all got hooked on trying to learn to play. My son (age 10) however, was concerned about swapping spit with Mom, Dad, and more importantly his sister. (for some reason he thought this was gross).

As a result, we started aqcuiring more whistles and now have a Feadog, Sweetone, and a Walton’s Little Black..all in D. Thanks to the C&F Inexpensive Whistle Guide.

Now that you have more information than you wanted, here’s my question. I was surfing on Amazon and found Laurence Nugent’s album The Windy Gap. On this album there is a song called the May Morning Dew where he plays the whistle with a string Bass accompanyment.
Since my daughter already plays Bass in the school orchestra, I thought this might be a great song we could play as a duet. I have the whistle music as the song is in L.E. McCullough’s The Complete Tinwhistle Tutor.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find the Bass music for this?..or is there some way to transpose or otherwise create it? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Gary
P.S. Dale, keep up the great work. When we first got interested in the tinwhistle, and I thought to look on the web for information I had no idea there could be such a huge amount of meaningless drivel, er…I mean wealth of pertinate information. Your site has made me laugh many times.
