I got around to seeing THE STATION AGENT on DVD this weekend. A lovely movie. Interesting subject matter, very well acted and beautifully shot. HIghly recommended, especially to those of you who like these little character pieces with no big Hollywood ending.
I enjoyed the movie, as well. I especially liked the young man who parked outside with the food truck. He put a few plastic chairs outside the van and called it “the lounge”. I found that hilarious.
I’m terrible with names. I hope I have the right movie. Thinking of trains, I recently called a friend in my hometown of Winchester, Indiana. The New York Central goes right through town without slowing down, and my friend lives so close to the railroad track that, if I were him, I couldn’t sleep at night, I am sure. Anyway, when my friend picked up the phone, the train was going by his house. All that I could hear on the telephone was the train whistle and a howling dog. Forget trying to talk.
