Just picked back up me whistle for the first time in 8 yrs. Used to play with comhltas when i was in school. Just wonderin what the most popular pub session tunes are so i can give em a go. Thanks
Well of course that varies quite a bit from session to session. Since each session is made up of individuals, the session repertoire is a combination of the several individual repertoires. So even the same session will change from week to week a bit.
I live in Southern California but I play a number of San Francisco session tunes I learned up there that nobody around here knows.
But now there’s a way to find out what the most popular session tunes wordwide are: go to thesession.org and go to the thing where you can see the thousands of tunes ranked according to which have been most often included in member’s tunebooks.
