Mollenhauer Flute

I finally got around to taking some pictures, they’re at http://illuminated-media.com/flute.html

it’s a 13 key in blackwood/ebony/granadilla (not sure which) with an ebonite head, the stamp reads:

Mollenhauer & Sons
Fulda
Germany
19230

I’ve been trying for about a year to find out when it was made and how much it might be worth.

Maybe Mollenhauer themselves are willing to help: http://www.mollenhauer.com. The site has a tiny british flag icon for an english version.

I seem to remember that there were several woodwind makers of the Mollenhauer family, the company that is now in Fulda under that name makes mainly recorders and a few traversos. There’s a contact email on the site, they really should be able to help you.

they were the first people I contacted, they said they stopped making flutes in the early 1900s and don’t have any information on them.
