I just wanted to mention that I’ve played the very Kelpie being sold, the first Kelpie I’ve had the chance to try, and it’s superior in two ways to any of the several older tunable MKs I’ve owned.
This Kelpie has the fullest, roundest, most solid bottom D of any MK I’ve tried, and a 2nd octave that’s tuned ‘just right’ for me, in the place that seems most intuitive.
(The several older tunable MKs I’ve owned have had slightly sharpish 2nd octaves, which take some getting used to.)
