After receiving the combo set (one fipple, two bodies) and playing them for a while I have to say I am quite impressed. Lookswise, these are just brass tubes and a black head, though the head does look cooler than most cheapies that . I have more impressive looking whistles, either wood or solid metal or whatever. However, none of them sound as good or are as versatile as these whistles. I have just found the whistle that is as loud enough for sessions AND sounds better than my Oak. First playing it comes across with a full and moderately loud tone, with quite a bit of chiff and airiness. Sounding like an idealized Clarke. Played it for a while then found out by focusing the airstream turned from full and chiffy to much less chiffy and more pure. It’s a striking difference. While I can coax different tones from my other whistles the dynamic is not nearly as noticeable. A very nice whistle, Gary.
