This is an amazing on-line tutorial for Uilleann pipes by Mick Coyne. He plays tunes quite slowly and you can play along on the whistle!!! It is really fun. The tunes are separated into Beginner, Intermediate, etc. Some have sheet music with them, some abc’s. But you could learn them all by ear since he plays quite slowly the first time through. I can hardly play a thing, but I can do a bit on the first beginner tune. It is so fun because you are playing with a different sounding instrument. He also has session tunes played slowly. You’ll have to explore around a bit to see what is there. Anyway, it is another way to make practicing a bit more fun if you are completely on your own.
Whoaw!!!
You know, I found this by accident the other day looking for Brian Boru’s March, but didn’t pay any real attention to the site… didn’t even notice the audio player there.
Thanks!
