I am just back from Ennis where I heard the news Mick Coyne has died. Sorry to hear that, he was one of the of the old guard of piping.

RIP, I always liked his music, thought it was interesting/funny how someone could take Andy Conroy’s techniques and make it all work in typical trad, if that makes sense.
Was just watching the Piper’s Choice DVD with him, too - he really learned the hard way with reeds, lack of teachers, everything.
Sorry to hear. Never met him, but I always enjoyed hearing his playing.
