I bought a practice set from Michael Vignoles about 1 years ago.
I think it’s very good…clear sound, good reed.
I sent a recording to Neill Mulligan, and he said “woow.fantastic chanter.is it a Rogge?”.
Michaek Vignoles is a good maker.

Hy, I own a full set from Michael Vignoles, and all I can say is that they are a very fine insrument. I am a classical educated guitarist and piano player, play the drums an sing in different choirs and know when things do not sound okay.
I like these pipes a lot and Michael is a man who helps you whenever he can. I am pleased to know him and think that he is great.
I know that some guys here spoke very bad about him and his work, but most of them actually never played one of his sets or only got a second hand set of pipes. Whatever … :roll:

Michael Vignoles taught workshops and performed at our festival last month. It was our first meeting. I found him to be a delightful man, very eager to share his knowledge, and was genuinely caring, patient and helpful. Connected well with the audience. He was finishing up a half set for someone in Georgia and I admired his craftmanship as he tweaked it. That chanter sounded as good as his personal chanter. He makes a great bodhrán as well. 
He is a great man for sharing tunes. The evening prior to the festival at a house session/party we had five sets playing in tune and so the pipers played together inside for a couple of hours before joining the rest of the session out on the porch. 
He played most every tune we did and introduced us to many new ones. What great craic!
He offered to help our small piping group in any way possible, form procuring supplies for reedmaking to helping with a practice set if we need one as a loaner to new pipers. A local fellow piper admired Michael’s green velvet bag cover with the gold tassels and after returning to Ireland what did he do but make one up and send it to my friend as a gift.
A helluva nice man in my book.
