MetaThread: A nonscientific content analysis

I just did a little content analysis quick&dirty for the most recent threads–the ones that haven’t rolled off to the next page.

I put them in 3 categories:

I. Whistle/Music/Irish Miscellany
II. Political
III.OT–cultural, community (about members) & noncontroversial

Here’s the count:

I. 37 threads
II. 3 threads (and this includes one which seems marginal and one which is basically associated with another political thread).
III. 10 threads

Admittedly, the political threads tend to get more posts.

Anyway, it turns out that there apparently is a bit of room to talk about whistles and music here.

Dale, you are spending way too much time counting posts and not enough time WHISTLING!! Now go find yourself a nice little specimen and blow a few tunes to make your cares go away. :smiley: Let us know which one you pick!

That looks like very similar results to an informal survey I did a few months ago when there was so much complaining about OT threads. I think it was actually weighted more towards music, but it was close.
