Message-posting tricks

If you post a message and think better of it, or find you’ve posted a new topic instead of a reply, press the Edit button as if to edit your message, and just check the Delete box below the text area before pressing Submit. You have 30 minutes to do this.

If you found you’ve made a wee typo and don’t want the “Edited by” message to appear, press the Quote button. Remove the (quote)&(/quote) tags from the top and bottom of your message, make your changes and press Submit. Then delete the original post.

When you do this, remember to reload the page, since otherwise you may see the copy cached by your browser, which won’t show your changes.

ah ha… ic.

What’s the trick to posting multiple quotes?

And do you need to type in a link manually or is there a trick to that too?

Is this clear?

Thanks for the info! Hehe Brother Steve sounds like he’s writing for his whistle website!

When responding to a long query, I usually quote the whole thing first so I can refer back to it easily, but then delete it all before posting my reply. Thate way nobody has to read the whole thing twice.

I am able to quote one person… I can do that. But what if I wanted to quote Martin in this same post. Where do I go to pull up His post with out starting a new post?
