McGoldrick Flute?

Anyone know what type of flute Mike McGoldrick plays?

On his album “Fused” he plays flutes by Gilles Lehart and Rhiannan bamboo flutes.

On ‘Wired’ he plays new flutes in D and C by Mike Grinter, though I believe his Bb is still a Lehart…anyone know for sure? Also, I’m wondering if he uses just a C body with his D headjoint…

Anyone know about his E#? Are the models mentioned above large or small holed? Any ideas?

I think he still playes an Eb Lehart.
Regarding to the C flute the headjoint is the same he uses in the D flute.

Anyone see the picture in the liner notes of Wired. McGoldrick’s Grinter flute is really long and has these two square, metal things over the foot holes… What are those things?

Those are the plates which form a seal with pewter-plug keys. You’re describing an eight-key instrument. They’d be for C#/C in terms of D.

If you just see square metal things with round holes in the middle, then the C/C# keys have been removed.
