[maybe OT?] Swedish spelpipa/spilåpipa fingering

Hi,
I don’t know if I have post on the proper forum…

During an holiday in Stockholm I bought a 7 hole spilåpipa (to be more precise, this one: http://www.musikmuseet.se/museibutik/detalj.php?l=en&mmcss=&kid=3&biid=67) but I wasn’t able to find a fingering chart on the web (at least googling for spelpipa or spilåpipa fingering… I don’t know how to search in Swedish).

Does anyone have some informations?

Thank you in advice!

Googling in swedish didn’t help much, this was all I found: http://www.tongang.se/leif/flutes.html

No finger chart but here’s a clip of a melody. You can see how he fingers it here

There are similar (fløyter) flutes in Norway too, the folk music here is quite related, I’ll see what I can find out

And here’s a traditional dance

There’s a forum for non-whistle windblown.
Can’t help with fingering charts. A tuner + trial and error is your best bet (and not a very bad one).

Looks like a blend of indian wardancing, tatar dancing, kung fu and riverdance. Norwegians are a really open-minded people.

I’d say that a spilåpipa counts as a whistle, as it is endblown, has a fipple and isn’t a recorder.
