Does anyone know anything about Matic pipes?
Sue
Hi Sue
If this is the set you are enquiring about, then it looks to be a Mid East full set and the likely advice here would be to not touch it with a barge pole.

I believe they are asking about these:

The guy whose website this is is a real person living here in the Houston, Texas area with the unlikely but real name of Edsel Matic. I have met him before and he does exist. His website shows that he is offering for sale practice sets only and they do not appear to be bought from Pakistan. Beyond that, I know very little. I know he has posted here before, back when he first put sound files up on his site and the conversation with the C&F community did not go well. You can search for “matic” to find the previous threads.
Hi liestman
There is a Matic full set for sale on Ebay, with the photograph shown in my post above. I took it to be the reason for the enquiry.

I have asked the seller for a photo of the case.
Check out this other listing for “MacNaill” regulators:
I believe that it has been deduced or substantiated on this forum that this is a cover name for Pakistani products. They appear to be identical to the “Matic” regs in the above-mentioned advertisement.
I wonder if a merchant of Pakistani pipes is using less-popular-named makers to hide the provenience of their goods?
Whoever buys these regs won’t be very happy when he/she finds out that half of the bass is missing…
In the case of the ebay “Matic” pipes, they are not being sold by the maker, since Edsel lives in Houston and the sale is out of California. I am guessing that Edsel would deny having made those pipes and clearly they are from Pakistan. It is possible that he sold them to the ebay seller and the seller is using the Matic name since that is where they bought them. But yeah, I would need a very long pole to touch that ebay set.
It’s good to be cautious when a seller builds a quick feedback number by buying coupons for $1.00 before selling an item.
