Since I’ve been working on this, thought I might as well share it… Here’s a gorgeous modern-written French mazurka - written by a then-boyfriend for wonderful young French flute player (traverso, early Romantic 8-key, Böhm flute, trad “Irish” keyless…) Anna Besson.

I strongly encourage you all to investigate Anna’s other published recordings on this YouTube Playlist, on her own Soundcloud Channel and that of her duo with box player Ludovic Rio Duo Besson-Rio - lots of gorgeous flute playing and joyous music making to suit all tastes! (There is some duplication of material between those three links, and I don’t think she actually has any Irish material on an 8-key or keyless published currently.)
