Looking for a Mark Hoza flute in D - purchased a Hoza piccolo from a board member a while back and have really liked it. Hoping to find a flute of his to try.

Jay - I have a Hoza flute in D. It’s one of his earlier ones and is soft sounding - not too loud as I play it. I sent it off to Mark to redo it but he said “I don’t make that flute anymore” and sent it back to me. I sent it off to to another maker who redid the embouchure. It plays much better but remains not my favorite (I play Copley and Healy, mainly). He called it a Keyther flute and made this one in 1999. Its made of Cooktown Ironwood. Perhaps we can work something out.
