Marcus Hernon is a powerful flute player and a gentleman. It is well worth hearing him play his own tunes. Highly recommended.
That air is a very simple melody. I would strongly encourage you to learn it by ear. Listen to it over and over until you can hum it spontaneously or until you wake in the middle of the night dreaming about it, whichever comes first. Then pick up the whistle or flute and have ago. You’ll get it soon enough.

Thanks, it’s an Overton low D with a bit of reverb added to the recording.
I tried to listen to it, but all I got was an asp file that would download. 
It may be your browser. Try listening to it via Internet Explorer. It wouldn’t download for me in Chrome. Then I tried Explorer, and it worked. Best, Joe
