Marantz tape recorders

If anyone has experience with one of these. I am looking to record and then isolate a bit to loop on with slow down and hopefully at the original pitch. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,
Don

Hey Don.. i tried to call you at work but somethin’ funny happened when it tried to connect… Hmmm… Ummm call me…

About the Marantz… I know they are quality. My mom used to own one.. probably still does… Reporters used to use them a bunch. I used to own a Marantz 4 track that was really nice… 'Bout all I know…

See you tomorrow at Fado…

Don: My studio used Marantz portable cassette recorders for years - both 2 and 3 head versions. They are built extremely well, and cost, accordingly. One unit did have on it a pitch control. As it was analog, slowing down the tempo did lower the pitch. Possibly the unit you have in mind is digital, which negates the tempo/pitch problem. Bottom line: The Marantz units are excellent cassette sound storage devices.
Best.
