Any one out there know what is a good cheap Acoustic/Electric A style or other weird style (like a guitar shape or something) I was thinking of that Fender one the A style A/E I have played it I liked it but I don’t know what to get. ![]()
Mid-Missouri. They’re pretty plain-looking, but they sound great and they’re very reasonably priced. Their website is at http://www.midmomandolin.com/.
They look nice but I need something cheaper for just practicing right now my old mando the neck has no truss-rod or suport so it is all over the place and my E stings break all the time. When I go for my more expensive one this is what I will get http://freespace.virgin.net/wailing.guitars/
listen to the sound clips it sounds amazing and it is a really good deal for a handmade instrument. ![]()
http://www.hobgoblin.com and www.the-music-room.com have a good lot of Mandolins on these web sites.
All the best
I hope you’re not planning on letting loose at an ITM session with one of those resonator-topped mandolins. Not only are they too loud for a backing instrument, but the tone is extremely intrusive. You might find yourself ejected from the session quickly.

Very good to know DJM when I get it I won’t bring it to a Session if that is the case they just sound so great I will have to try hard not to.
I agree that they sound great (based on their clips). These would be great if you’re going to do bluegrass solos.
