not a household name but one of the finest players of any instrument i’ve ever known and a truely beautiful person. he will be sorely missed.

we were at a festival when we heard last week.
One of the last people Butch recorded with, David Schnaufer, was a regular at this particular festival before his untimely passing.
The “good ones” die way to young, but there was a heck of a jam session in heaven last week!
