Manchester gig 11th Nov

Hi,

Just to let anyone who may be interested know a gig featuring Martin Simpson (guitar) and Simon Mayor (mandolin) will be happening at the MANCAT venue, Lever St. Manchester, on Friday 11th Nov. The event will be hosted by Mike Harding. 7.30pm start.

They will be performing on instruments built in 24 hours by students on the instrument building courses at MANCAT.

Martin, Simon, Mike and the students are giving their time for free to support the charity Children in Need.

Tickets for the gig are £10 and the instruments will be raffled at the end of the night. Raffled tickets are £1 each (contact Ralph to buy by post).

Just to let you know, the gig was a great success and £1800 was raised for charity by those mentioned above. The guitar was won by someone at Manchester University.

A big handshake for Ralph Cooper who organised the whole thing. :thumbsup:
