Making a bad MEG a good MEG.

I recently bought three MEG’s from thewhistleshop.com and every one of them seems to have a problem.

Two of them can barely reach the second octave and are extremely screechy when I do actually get the higher notes out. The last one plays alright but the E seems to be out of tune.

Does anyone have any suggestions for tweaking to get these sounding decent? I was planning on giving these whistles away but I don’t want to give away pure crud.

Nick

I haven’t yet seen a Meg in real life, but I hear tell they’re either good or they’re not. I don’t know of much that can be done to one.
