Has anyone undertaken a hollow main stock conversion?
I am wondering if one went to the expence of converting a solid stock to a hollow one, are there any notable benefits?
I have heard hollow stocks of course but what I am getting at is there an appreciable difference in sound/tone quality.
I ask this as I am considering a conversion on my C# set.

This has come up before. I have had both types of stock and definitely feel there is a difference to the sound. Also to the behaviour, as the reeds fall into line with each other much more easily when they are all vibrating in the same chamber. Others have disagreed, and said they didn’t believe there was a difference. Like everything else UP, there is no consistent opinion.
