Madfortrad CD purchase - extra fee?

Hey, I was going over my online credit card statement and there is an extra $5 charge listed as “CASH EQUIVALENT TRANSA - TION FEE”. It’s got the same reference number as my madfortrad CD whistle tutorial purchase, and there was only one other purchase made that day, but that had a different reference number.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this? I’m trying to pin down whether the $5 charge was actually from madfortrad or not. Maybe it was because they are in Ireland and I am in the USA? Anyone have ideas?

I hadn’t noticed this charge when I purchased by CD-ROM, but I haven’t taken a close look for it either.

I can only guess that it is a service charge from either the Bank of Ireland, or your card company to process the currency exchange. If it is something that Mad For Trad needs to charge, they should say so on their website, although the tutorial is still worth it.
